Join Us For Project Hugs 2025 Charity Sew-In Sponsored By Trend Tex Fabrics!

We're bringing Project Hugs back for 2025!

Project Hugs is a charity quilt sew-in, sponsored by Trend Tex Fabrics. We have a great day of sewing, fun and friendship for a great cause! Each participant receives a pre cut baby quilt kit to sew Quilt As You Go style on the day of the event. All the quilts that are made are then are donated to Ronald McDonald House in Winnipeg!

Registration is $65.00 and includes:

• Pre Cut Quilt Kit
• Catered Lunch
• Gift Bag
• A $20 credit to use at the KMC Pop Up Shop that is set up at the event for you!

All you need to bring is your sewing machine and a basic sewing kit. We will provide rulers, rotary cutters, cutting stations and ironing stations.

Beginner quilters are absolutely welcome to join us as we have Mary Ann from Trend Tex as our instructor along with KMC staff and previous participants to help you. Please remember though, this is not a learn to quilt class and that you should already be familiar with how to quilt.

There will also be games, prizes and lots of fun! Keep your eyes open for the Prize Fairy, because we are pretty sure she will be making an appearance too!

We are holding Project Hugs at the Anola Community Centre, which is 17 minutes east from the Perimeter. It is a beautiful facility with tons of parking, super easy access to the sewing room, great lighting and lots of space!

We hope that you will be able to join us on February 22 or 23 for Project Hugs so that we can all make a difference for the kids and families staying at Ronald Mc Donald House in Winnipeg!
